Harvick, who finished the NASCAR regular season with 10 runner-up finishes and 18 top fives, is the odds-on favorite to win not only win Sunday’s race, but also the Chase.

Joey Logano will join Harvick on Row 1, while Brad Keselowski will roll off on the inside of Row 2 as he tries to begin the Chase with a win at Chicagoland for the third time in the past four years.

Austin Dillon and Ryan Newman will occupy Row 3, while Kyle Busch and Kasey Kahne will battle it out from the fourth row.

Despite posting the ninth-fastest time in practice, Ryan Blaney will not qualify for the race as the NASCAR rulebook sets the field based on qualifying attempts made throughout the season. Blaney, a part-time Sprint Cup driver with Wood Brothers Racing, was left out of the race along with Michael McDowell and Travis Kvapil.

The Chase driver with the most work cut out for him is Denny Hamlin. Not only is Hamlin just over a week removed from a torn ACL, but the No. 11 driver will have to work his way up the field from a 29th starting position.
