The developers of KeyWe have pushed out a new update for both the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game that addresses a variety of lingering problems with it, including issues with cross-region multiplayer and the Z-39 Soaring Auk collectible. Upon downloading the update, KeyWe players should also unlock any trophies that they completed the requirements for but weren’t rewarded, finally making it possible for them to unlock the Platinum.

Besisdes certain trophies simply not unlocking in KeyWe, the other thing keeping PS5 players from 100% completing the game was a game-breaking bug in the Snowball Fight mini-game. The Snowball Fight mini-game in KeyWe was impossible to play properly on PS5 prior to the patch, as it simply did not function. Snowball Fight in KeyWe now works on PS5, so gamers on Sony’s new console can jump back in, get a high score, and unlock the Platinum trophy.

KeyWe’s premise of kiwi birds running a post office is a bizarre one, but its quirky tone should have broad appeal for co-op gamers. In particular, KeyWe has drawn comparisons to Overcooked; the two games don’t necessarily have the same kind of gameplay, but they both breed chaos from having to work cooperatively with another player. Instead of cooking food and delivering orders like in Overcooked, though, KeyWe has players typing out messages and sorting mail.

On paper, that may not sound too hectic, but KeyWe has players on a time limit and sometimes forces them to cooperate perfectly if they want to get a Gold rating. For example, one KeyWe player may need to hold the shift button whlie the other hunts down the correct letter, or both players may have to hit buttons simultaneously to complete a stage. Based on the KeyWe reviews, it seems many people found the game to be fun, and it will be interesting to see if it’s able to get a bigger audience now that some of its more glaring issues have been fixed.

KeyWe is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, and Switch.
